The George Inn, a Grade II listed building was built in
the 15th century, during the reign of Henry VIII.

The oldest part of the Inn is timber framed with brick infill and
plastered. Some of the original
beams from the late 1400s can still be seen in the Public bar.

Further
additions were made during the 17th century including the addition
of the Saloon bar. The original kitchens and the landlords parlour
were added during the 19th century.
Upstairs
the Jacobean room still has its original door, so remember to duck when
you enter!
